Task: This is an individual work. You are given a short video sequence (‘video’) without soundtrack. Create an original sound effects track using own recorded material and free soundfiles (e.g. free under CreativeCommons). Write a text of between 300 and 400 words about your work, with appropriate references. Present the work and your text in class. Submission date: anytime before noon, 5 February 2009. Format: DVD (or CDR) labelled “fil280-asg1-[FAMILYNAME]” containing 1. complete Pro Tools session 2. writeup as TXT, RTF , DOCX or DOC file. Main assessment criteria: • evidence of good management of soundfiles material • craftiness, detail, precision and overall coherence in the “Mickey-Mousing” sound-to-visuals matching • clarity of the ProTools session (track naming etc) Spent 5 full days doing this!
