It's been a great, tiring, happening, wonderful trip. Before i go into the trip, there is probably one thing that you should know! :D This is where i have been helping out at: the BYKOTA (which stands for: Be Ye Kind To One Another) house! :D It is managed by an American missionary family who felt strongly that God had called them to Cambodia after a series of events that happened. Personally, Dad and Mom ( Mark & Rhonda Benz) have 5 biological kids, and also 5 adopted Cambodian kids. They oversee a children's home (not an orphanage) where they provide a home, education and food, and also love for the orphans in Cambodia. "The vision of BYKOTA House is to provide the children with a safe place to live and the opportunity to be part of the family. We believe future growth will occur with additional house parents. There is a great need for safe homes for children to be raised in. These children deserve to live without the fear of molestation, abuse or being forced into servanthood." They have other outreach projects in Cambodia. For more info, visit http://hightowerministries.net. Last year, during my 2nd December mission trip to Cambodia (which the church held annually) , Mom and Dad asked me if i was interested to go over on an internship ( volunteer-work) at the school, so i said yes, and in April 2008 i was there for my first intern trip! I asked if i could go over and help out for the month of December, and go home with the Singapore team after their mission trip (26-31 Dec) and they said yes so i went over! :D okay that's the introduction! later!
