Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Labels: missions ooh, we're watching tv series at night and we hear alot of barkingand noise from outside. turns out that thieves were trying to get into our neighbours' house... Dogs are really useful here.. Labels: missions got bitten by one of the dogs randomly yday T-T but i wear thick pants so got no blood! but got bruise! hurhurhur... im loving the time i have with the kids... heard plans that i will be bringing them out with one of the staff on Xmas day... went to eat brownie with Katie while we were shopping for stationery supplies for tomoro's deco because we are going to decorate Bykota house with the kids tomoro!! :D anyways, last night , while the rest of us were sleeping, 2 thieves tried to sneak in TWO times! .. luckily the guards sent the dog.. apparently, 4 of the houses of our stretch had been broken into before i reached here, so they hired 2 ppl to stay guard for the night so that Dad and Mom (from the orphanage could rest for the night and not have to wake up during the nights.... hurhur! tomoro we're going to decorate the Bykota house, and then soccer tournament on saturday!!!..YAY! Labels: missions it's my 3rd day in Cambodia! it's been great so far :D i'm thankful for journey mercies and that everyone still remembers me!! :D Mark calls me his Singaporean daughter...haha... day 1 flight was at 645 am, barely got an hour's rest b4 i reached the airport... so when i reached the place at last i was really stoned!! but the kids were so energetic and they hugged me!!! and i am very touched!! :D and they say they missed me!!! WHEEE!!!!!!! they had the cook make welcome cookies for me :D so it was more of a time of catching up....yea.. day 2 classes started today and i LOVED it! today is Rhonda's ( children home's Mom)bday, so after dinner an american couple who were visiting said that they will treat her to a massage at the local hotel and cheesecake.. so the adults of the family went and the kids got babysitted harhar...the massage was good.. and halfway thru the massage i realised that the massage guy speaks chinese!!! so i ended up talking with him and he's from China!!! and told him why we were here and that we were Christians and that the Benz family had set up a children's home for the orphans here... and he was rather impressed :) i pray and hope God will grow the seeds of faith in his life that one day he may believe! :D it rained in the middle of the night and there was a horrible leak at the ceiling which flooded the room. So me and dani,(will sleep on the top level) woke up in the middle of the night to clear the miniflood that had built up...and my suitcase got wet hurhur.. good that there was nothing spoilt inside.. so im in day 3 now, so far so good, i'm not homesick like i was for my previous trip in May :D thank God :) |
