Greetings from cambodia.. so far it's been alrite, the first 2 days were really bad cos i was really homesick alone here... T-T daily responsibilities include teaching kids social studies, math, science and english...really basic ones though... it's great hanging out with the kids...i love it but sometimes it gets really sad ..the boy i really like called Peter got really sick and he was so pale when i saw him for the first time since my last visit in dec07... heard that he may have some infection in his blood...and i was really really sad... also heard that 2 of the boys have hepatitis... which was really sad..the other day their medicine werent closed properly and ants were infesting it and we had to pick out the ants one by one because the medicine is expensive... it was really sad.. but other than that...so far living with so many chidren and americans in a house with 2 cats and 2 dogs is really quite nice :) am really starting to like it here... yea :) other than that i have been stranded in a rain which flooded the grounds to our mid-calves (and it totally freaked me out) cos my shoes got lost in the mud and the lightning just kept coming... and reached home to find that the house was flooded and we had to dry the house drenched before we cleaned ourselves up ... but that was the nicest night cos it was cool. the weather here had been so crazily hot that we have had to bathe in cold water and change more than one set of clothes a day T-T . also...i've been to 2 churches, one which was really too charismatic for me... but the other which was so close to heart (Internation Church Association) whereby the pastor encouraged the christians in Cambodia to persevere and hope despite the different backgrounds we came from. there were people from all nations there...americans, indos, filipinos, other angmohs, blacks, and even 2 other singaporeans. i really loved it.... the old school stuff :) so that's what i've gone thru so far... and God has been with me all this time, all my fears and discomforts and doubts He's had His way so i am thankful. :) am really thankful to the Benz family for their kindness :) so...till the next time i update again... errr... i hurt my toe and my tummy hurts. hahah and i love boys more than girls!!
