sho tireds had a long meetin today for 2d - 11-530 T-T.. , missed service... rushed down fer Church alive (shalom)'s 2nd year anniversary barbeque, glad to see the new youths who had come for the good friday service :) got to know Eugene, Malvin and talked to Freddy. Nice to see David back too! :D it's a small but cozy environment, like family :) thanks Paul for lending me the vid cam.. T-T insomnia+ nitemares +no appetite joke of the day fell asleep while eating my burger at dinner. so tired, so stressed, so little time. Sun day. art project meetings are so tedious ! had a meeting with lav from 11 to 5 yesterday! lol been watching Crminal Minds the whole weekend. i donno u anymore. yay. Bye bye. Good friday boy was it a busy day... woke up early to finish our word doc and slides for marketing to send fer editing...then and early breakfast with Ben and then to worship prac! hmms, church is very different at CAM( ex-shalom) - there's no hard and fast rules in terms of agenda that we are made to follow - yet we know that there's no compromise on the emphasis of the bible and its truths. Service was short today- just a group discussion of the crucifixion passage from luke 23 with a very short message from Paul afterward, but we never stop learning new things.. service ended 1.5hr later, then we practised music with Cynthia fer the evang prog later - quick lunch, prayer meeting , then start! i liked it, it's not extravagant, but very warm and cosy - games, testi, short vid and a "table talk" after the vid with the people.. it was nice :D and then lastly lol our 2 songs turned out to be a performance dedicated to the people, so they just sat down at the discussion tables to listen and all the lights were off but Ben brought across the point that it was a response and reflection of what God has done in his life - what never fails to impress me, a very plain, straightforward and earnest conversation which is so very heartfelt. No pretense, no staged scripts, no fanciful language, just very sincere words. Sang "Message of the cross" and "Rise up" by third day. He guitared and i drummed lol. goosebumps. it was a good time, i didnt feel that there was anything we had to push or make the non christians uncomfy, yet the message went across rather well.. ooh me and ben were saying that the best thing about CAM/shalom is that there's nothing attractive about it- we have disgusting looking chairs from jericho, cockroaches running around, music-wise just good enough to get through though many times we screw up, some time's it's only a guitar and drum or tambourine or just guitar alone, the musty smell of the place, the HORRIBLE sound system that always crackles - like got fireworks during sermons like that, IN OTHER WORDS WE ARE VERY CHUI- but then we know that the only reason that people are attracted is not because of what's happening physically... neeways! rushed for a 3 hr marketing meeting after that and kfc dinner! heh! ooh , i realised that some catholics and christians dont eat meat on Good friday...never knew that! hmms, no easter service, but we're encouraged to meditate on the message la :D CRIMINAL MINDS - is a great DVD serial on the psychology of criminals examined by profilers :D i tink that profiling is such a cool occupation!the show's abit like CSI la, but it's less dramatic, i like! HORTON WAS CUTE :D meeting lav tomoro for 2D ! so many meetings!:D so it's rainin 'gain (words in blue are blue) made a mistake in the prev. post... twas my friend's grandpa that passed away. Was one of the few sad funerals i've been to, causes of death which were not available and ambiguous. Suspecting that the mishandling of the doctors is the cause of death requires post-motem treatment of the deceased body -which few people approve of i guess... i have an issue with most government hospitals seriously... .SGH, TTHS ... if a doctor just looks good in his overalls and but is rotten on the inside, "you have no conscience" . So my friend's grandpa - when he was still perfectly well, was sent to SGH and was tended by the training docs, and then the next thing was that they were poking so tubes thru his mouth for 2 hours and then they told my fren's family to prepare to say their last words. AND that they WONT bother resuscitating him because he is OLD. and at his deathbed the nurses just watched him die. SIGH --- Friendships, church culture, work, family, self - dysfunctional So. We struggle on to find out what's true. all frivolous talk, empty promises, superficial reunions, unreasonable favoritism, sweet pretense - "CUT" none of those anymore. --- on a lighter note, i finally submitted my design for teese competition. yay i pressed the button after procrastinating for a month! :D my concept's "FLAUNT YOUR FIGURE!" YAY marketing presentation went well, arthur said our presentation was not the best, but definitely better than average. WAHAHAHA. easily satisfied hor. WE OWN MARKETING JOURNAL! just jokin lol. got back the 2d stuff, pretty satisfied with the results i guess :D but dont tink will be scoring well for the latest one cos it's very CHUI. lol other than the front and last page, it's very CHUI. tomoro 4d : DIE DIE DIE lastly to send condolences to my friend whose father passed away - take care ya... many ppl are upset with the system of ADM's selection of majors.. it's quite upsetting to see friends brood over this matter, hopefully all goes well - apparently dean's leavin and vice-dean is not a nice person, so let's hope fer the best.... k to drawing class BYE! AND SO we've all been slogging crazy these few weeks, it's really a crazy shitload of work, but i must say it's fulfilling la, except for 4d and 3d - no ideas; possibly going mad and HYSTERICAL.  if i'm to think twice again, i may not choose to draw king kong cos it took me 2 days to fully render his hair in color pencils. and a few hours to cut him out in photoshop T-T yay but the printout looks nice :D went to peace centre with Loo to print and bind and i am sure i'll NEVER go there again cos the lady screwed up the binding on my 3-day-drawing 3 times. nearly cry sia. lookin forward to hols, not exams. ooh forgot to mention, it takes $33.45 to cab to school from home. and my response: #@%#%*(&^%^$#$%^&((&^%$# uncle, why u never even give me 45cents discount. gimme gimme, gimme gimme gimme less! 2d -proj 3d- plaster sculpting and new project 4d- project 45% of ma marks MB103- marketing journal(5%) and marketing plan (25%) lets hug and cry it out. |
