What a year! - warning: long post ahead ah, 2007 seemed to pass so fast... Prolly because of the many things that have happened, of all which i'm thankful for - Yesterday i spent a long time penning down my thoughts on my journal which i dont take out very often :D things that happened this year, prayers that were answered, significant milestones, things i've learnt, love i've received.. these i hope i'll keep in my heart... major changes/decisions/frights -having a full time job in a foreign company really opened me up, helping me to be comfortable and more confident in front of strangers... - missing the deadline for Admission to ADM- i tot that my future was entirely screwed, but with much prayer and support and help from ben, we managed to persuade the admissions and even extend the deadline to submit my portfolio which i had not prepared at all. 3 minute video prepared entirely in one night... passing the mark...passing the ADM admission test.... getting into a great class with good tutors... - leaving church something that wrecked our brains and ached our hearts to do. a place full of fond memories, close ties, where i first found Christ in ...thinking process was a long and tedious one.. paul told us he had a dream whereby both of us were very sad and i was crying and we told him we were leaving the church... after that we were more or less sure.. - new school environment never had to toil so hard before... - opening up to others this is prolly the year which i've opened up to many people about things that i've never brought up before ever.... things which i find embarassing, which should be hidden under the covers, are brought out.. and that meant that i got closer to these people whom have kindly listened to me :) New people whom i've met this year... - 10tacle workmates - esp CY, Gwen and Sharim.. -ADM class! esp lav, hj and wes - i never tot i can find friends like you guys.. gong was there also :D - Chee Kwee is amazing - Mr Julien - Steven Tan - you've helped us alot! your experiences are so enriching! im sure there's more..but i really cant remember hahah... - and of course the addition of Asher into our family is pure joy! :D oh.. and my students have finally graduated! amelia, jon, jiamin..it's boring without you guys now -.- even though teaching you werent the easiest job! HA HA HA!!!u sleepy inattentive monsters!!! wish u all the best in ur results! there's prolly alot more things that happened that are not written here, but all in all , it was a year of changes... the year where i cried the hardest, doubted the most, was on edge of the cliff in my faith, changed the most, drank the most alcohol (not anymore la) - but despite all these, i knew this year was the year that i could clearly see and trace His grace, dwell and rest in His love, and experienced and know that i can trust Him... This was also the year i could smile the widest- i feel so free, i feel so happy doing what i love to do, i feel so loved with all the people around me ..and peace from knowing more through the Word and through the experiences.. also the cambodia trip was a wonderful way of wrapping this year up also.. So i'm very thankful for 2007, so much for the beginning of my adulthood. ;) It's an amazing year that passed indeed... Resolution 08 .. to hold Christ in the highest regard... k... sorry for the long post! happy new year everyone! Tiring day! spent the whole morning trying to fix my specs... and then...down to jericho to paint the walls ...heh... it was fun tho tiring and dirty.. and... we found a cockroach colony near the leather sofa. GROOOSSSSSSSSSS!!!! the roach flew even after it was sprayed with insecticide! like gliding in the air -_- 10 roaches together is plain disgusting. GROSS ooh..after painting i tried Qingling's violin ..never touched a violin before! :D it's quite easy leh. hehh... i am planning to bake a cheesecake on wednesday! yay! :D going to buy the special springform tray tomoro!!! :D MOVIE MOVIE Watched a couple of movies lately.. :D "I am legend" - i didnt really like it, but i do have to commend Will Smith for his acting skills :D maybe it's just me, i dont like shows that are too repetitive in nature. heh. "Alvin and the chipmunks" - Is too cute :D "Shoot em up"- is a very cool action movie :D i really liked the action. Though it didnt make sense of course... but that's what action shows are about right ?:D All actions no sense. hehh! "i now pronounce you chuck and larry" - quite funny la :D typical adam sandler tho heh. busy busy day today, work up early for dental appointmt which i've missed for 2 months .. hehhhhhh... then...to changi airport to send lav off... i was 1.5 hours early HA HA. had a good time with lav, wes, hj and nana.. :D take care lav!   twins!went back to bishan to look for madaleine baking tray but couldnt find it, and couldnt find it at amk hub either..but guess who i met there!! AUNTY SUSIEEE!!!!! she saved me by telling me that there's a baking supply shop near deyi so i happily walked there and got my tray *victory sign! :D Thankful for aunty susie! :D used my xmas present-cake beater to beat the batter to make it better :D Wala, it turned out well!! :D  Madaleine madaleine! :D was surprised i could log in to get my results even tho the school fees were not really settled :) and am very thankful for my results. Thank You :) what can i say? Xmas specialto - my gift! :D Yahoo! hmms fer this post im gonna talk about someone very special to me! :D he is ... *drum roll* Benjamin wong! we've been together for... 4 years plus now, and we were good friends fer 2 plus years before that :D  I'm very thankful for him- for very long, he has been my buddy, joke, counsellor, best friend, assistant chef, sidekick, partner, financial consultant, stabiliser, IT consultant, gaming buddy, guild mate, blockus opponent, tower defence teammate, otaku-mates, loanshark, Fox shopper, suntan buddy, Kino-buddy, father, nagger, mother, kid, movie-partner, eating partner, consultant, confidante... He's a very great guy, though he's not very good with words and his jokes suck very big time. But we've been through alot, especially this very tough year with me making crazy decisions like changing universities and meeting new people at school and at work... and he's always been kind, caring, concerned, wise, supportive and he's always beside me.. so... I'm very thankful for such a gift like him :) XMAS fever had our xmas party today, it was cosy and fun :D i especially like decorating for Christmas..since Jericho is a small place, it's nice and small to decorate :D Thanks to Zixian fer his directions :D heh.. it was fun decorating...Janet was SO funny! :D i like the shiny long things you twirl around xmas trees :D party was fun :D Johnny has amazing games all the time, and thanks to songlim for helping with the rose syrup! :D we watched parts of the nativity story..:D it was nice seeing Sharon and Gary again! :D after the party we left while the board games were going on so that Ben could do his xmas shopping... there were quite alot of ppl at Vivo neh T-T. hahahah... but it was fun :) thinking of baking chicken tomoro.. and ..... if you plan on getting me a present.. please dont ! i dont have any thing to give anyone cos my bank balance is $0.00 so. dont give me anything :) Brownie business Picked up an online recipe for brownies some time ago, finally got down to doing it today! And it tastes great! :D Thanks to binu and her mum for the mixer, saves me alot of time to mix the batter! :D didnt take any pictures of the process cos my hands were too greasy hahaha. Day out Spent the whole day out today- went over to ben's house to cut the Cambodia video clips in the afternoon..so much more to edit.. Played 2 rounds of Tower defence (brings back ol memories).. then.. off to meet Shinnie! :D Havent met her in awhile :D Dinner was Kfc! the 2nd time since i came back last week.. Yea it was fun :) Then.... rush home to meet Mushu and Matthias and Co. and Wa wa for supper at..Chomp chomp! i love chomp chomp. thanks to matthia's friends..they are very entertaining tho it was abit awkward at first :D i love meeting wawa and mushu! :D:D:D <3 baking brownies tomoro.. hahah! hope it turns out good, trying not to use instant mixes in my cooking life anymore ;) Yea! :D if it's good... i'll eat it all! He looks like a US marine :D  Lizzy! all of us!Cannot say enough Ah, finally coming back to my blog :D If any of you are interested, the Cambodia trip is blogged HERE :) Go see it! * NUDGE!* haha. it's almost done :) warning: high Christian content I can't say enough about how i loved the trip, how i was blessed through this trip and how i know God was planning and working this trip out all along. I think there are 3 big parts to this trip - working at the Bykota house ( children's home) , going to the rubbish dump, and our first time to Tung kea, a village in the province of Takeo. apart from being blessed in helping in the 3 areas, i learnt alot of my team mates :) they are from other churches - the adults -Enid was from a charismatic church while Steven was a from a baptist church .. and secretly i knew how much Paul's sermon in the women's ministry at the village was working in me also- about being a woman of good character. Praying for the villagers was a humbling experience; personally i understood what the new testament meant when Jesus and the apostles went around praying for people - it's not easy at all, in fact just 2 hours of walking through the fields and grounds under the sun made us really tired. I looked at the plentiful rice harvest and i was reminded of how much the harvest is plenty but the workers are few... the village kids were so lovely... i'll post my own photos from the trip in my next post :) ELLOS!!! after one day of unpacking, im ready to blog about the cambodia trip!!!!! i'll give just some parts of it!! the detailed one will be up in another site .heh... okay! DAy one! we reached phnoem penh safely at night, checked into the hotel and had a briefing! :D that was all fer day one. HA HA. Day 2 woke up early and had our breakfast at comfortstar back from Cambodia! Plane got delayed so reached home at 1am instead. @.@ DEAD BEAT. for now, i'm going to bathe, do up my laundry, settle my school fees( ARGH!), catch naruto, eat my malaria pill and then sleep. CANNOT TAKE IT! k byebye world. i love cambodia. PREPARE THE TISSUES ok im goin off to changi airpork at 4! shall say my byebyes first cos i have a lot to pack still!!!! and i havent changed my money to USD yet. OMG okay! to my wawa and mushu! take good care k! have fun in keching keching, will pray fer the safety of yer group. HAVE FUN! to my beloved ADM group 5 class!!! i hope you all get your modules!!!!!!! errr.. to cambodia, here we come! before i visit muthu to change my cash. <3 hmms.. still sick T-T om... oh wells i'll pray hard and hope fer the best :D HAVENT PACKED MY BAG YET FREAKIN OUT! settled tuition fee loan today.. hmms have study loan to settle, they dont allow students to register fer modules if the school fees are not settled. and registration is first come first serve. oh wells! just wait and see then...i hate cpf. you suck so bad. bad service, bad welfare, bad everything. on a lighter note, i finished season of project runway. it's nice! tho i preferred the first's designs, i thought the second one was more competitive :D more unpredictable ... i really really like daniel vosovic -.- om! heh....... drool! went shoppin fer the first aid kit stuff today and window shopped abit! :D this long sleeve hoodie that's really cute...but no moneys ..oh wells...cry loh. cutting hair after i go school later ... wish me luck man. hahah -.- oh wells.. poofing pufferfish or smtg. then i REALLY NEED TO PACK AFTER THAT. oh boy i havent even changed the currency yet and im leaving on THURSDAY. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! spent the past 3 days in bed, really bad flu and fever. =.= but yea i tink i feel better today! :) past few days consisted of me watching Project runway season 1 and 2 in bed. Hey i tink it's gooood :D Daniel V is too cute. watched lust|caution. hms i dont like shows that dont have good endings but i tink the actors were well chosen. but the whole chinese mahjong-conversation and ladies in qipao and tony leung and his off-track marriage reminded me of "in the mood for love" . a little boring i tink heh. little drawing i did before i fell sick..  |
